{"id":488,"date":"2005-12-08T17:10:00","date_gmt":"2005-12-08T15:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sabado100.com.ar\/?p=488"},"modified":"2005-12-08T17:10:00","modified_gmt":"2005-12-08T15:10:00","slug":"avanza-el-dialogo-entre-la-iglesia-catolica-y-el-consejo-metodista-mundial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sabado100.com.ar\/es-ar\/avanza-el-dialogo-entre-la-iglesia-catolica-y-el-consejo-metodista-mundial\/","title":{"rendered":"Avanza el di\u00e1logo entre la Iglesia cat\u00f3lica y el Consejo Metodista Mundial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CIUDAD DEL VATICANO, mi\u00e9rcoles, 7 diciembre 2005 (ZENIT.org).- Una delegaci\u00f3n \u00abde alto nivel\u00bb del Consejo Metodista Mundial ha venido a Roma para encontrarse con Benedicto XVI y con sus colaboradores en la Santa Sede.<br \/>\nAs\u00ed lo ha revelado un comunicado publicado por el Consejo Pontificio para la Promoci\u00f3n de la Unidad de los Cristianos, cuyo presidente es el cardenal Walter Kasper.<br \/>\nLos objetivos de la visita son \u00abrenovar el compromiso y profundizar en las relaciones con la Iglesia cat\u00f3lica\u00bb y \u00abcontinuar con el di\u00e1logo teol\u00f3gico\u00bb.<br \/>\nEste di\u00e1logo tiene lugar a trav\u00e9s de la Comisi\u00f3n Mixta Internacional Cat\u00f3lico-Metodista, instituida en 1967, tras el impulso dado al ecumenismo del Concilio Vaticano II.<br \/>\nLa delegaci\u00f3n es guiada por el presidente del Consejo, el obispo Sunday Mbang de la Iglesia metodista de Nigeria, y participan, entre otros, el secretario general, el reverendo George Freeman, de Estados Unidos.<br \/>\nAcompa\u00f1a a la delegaci\u00f3n durante la visita monse\u00f1or Michael Putney, obispo de Townsville, membro del Consejo Pontificio para la Unidad, y copresidente del di\u00e1logo teol\u00f3gico oficial cat\u00f3lico-metodista.<br \/>\nLa visita concluir\u00e1 el 10 de diciembre, tras la audiencia privada con Benedicto XVI.<br \/>\nLa delegaci\u00f3n metodista ha pedido asistir el 8 de diciembre, solemnidad de la Inmaculada, a la misa presidida por el Papa con motivo del cuadrag\u00e9simo aniversario de la clausura del Concilio Vaticano II.<br \/>\nLa visita tiene lugar tras la redacci\u00f3n del \u00faltimo documento de la Comisi\u00f3n Mixta Internacional Cat\u00f3lico-Metodista, que ha concluido el actual ciclo de reuniones (2002-2006) y que afronta el argumento de la \u00abnaturaleza de la Iglesia\u00bb.<br \/>\nEl Consejo Metodista Mundial re\u00fane a 76 comuniones metodistas y tiene cada cinco a\u00f1os una asamblea general. La pr\u00f3xima se celebrar\u00e1 en Se\u00fal (Corea), en julio de 2006.<br \/>\nEn esa reuni\u00f3n se presentare para su ratificaci\u00f3n el \u00faltimo documento de la Comisi\u00f3n Mixta Cat\u00f3lico-Metodista, y suscribir\u00e1 la \u00abDeclaraci\u00f3n conjunta sobre la doctrina de la justificaci\u00f3n\u00bb firmada en 199 entre la Iglesia cat\u00f3lica y la Federaci\u00f3n Luterana Mundial.<br \/>\nEl movimiento metodista, de car\u00e1cter evang\u00e9lico, heredero de la Reforma protestante del siglo XVI se origin\u00f3 en la Inglaterra del siglo XVIII como un movimiento de renovaci\u00f3n espiritual, misionero y social.
