Fue en su homil\u00eda del 1\u00b0 de octubre, que aqu\u00ed reproducimos. Queridos hermanos:<\/p>\n<p>Entre las experiencias m\u00e1s fuertes de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas est\u00e1 la de encontrar puertas cerradas. La creciente inseguridad fue llevando, poco a poco, a trabar puertas, poner medios de vigilancia, c\u00e1maras de seguridad, desconfiar del extra\u00f1o que llama a nuestra puerta. Sin embargo, todav\u00eda en algunos pueblos hay puertas que est\u00e1n abiertas. La puerta cerrada es todo un s\u00edmbolo de este hoy. Es algo m\u00e1s que un simple dato sociol\u00f3gico; es una realidad existencial que va marcando un estilo de vida, un modo de pararse frente a la realidad, frente a los otros, frente al futuro. La puerta cerrada de mi casa, que es el lugar de mi intimidad, de mis sue\u00f1os, mis esperanzas y sufrimientos as\u00ed como de mis alegr\u00edas, est\u00e1 cerrada para los otros. Y no se trata s\u00f3lo de mi casa material, es tambi\u00e9n el recinto de mi vida, mi coraz\u00f3n. Son cada vez menos los que pueden atravesar ese umbral. La seguridad de unas puertas blindadas custodia la inseguridad de una vida que se hace m\u00e1s fr\u00e1gil y menos permeable a las riquezas de la vida y del amor de los dem\u00e1s.<br \/>\nLa imagen de una puerta abierta ha sido siempre el s\u00edmbolo de luz, amistad, alegr\u00eda, libertad, confianza. \u00a1Cu\u00e1nto necesitamos recuperarlas! La puerta cerrada nos da\u00f1a, nos anquilosa, nos separa.<br \/>\nIniciamos el a\u00f1o de la fe y parad\u00f3jicamente la imagen que propone el Papa es la de la puerta, una puerta que hay que cruzar para poder encontrar lo que tanto nos falta.
