{"id":318,"date":"2005-10-14T22:49:22","date_gmt":"2005-10-14T20:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sabado100.com.ar\/?p=318"},"modified":"2005-10-14T22:49:22","modified_gmt":"2005-10-14T20:49:22","slug":"china-muere-el-obispo-chang-que-paso-casi-un-cuarto-de-siglo-en-prision-por-lealtad-al-papa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sabado100.com.ar\/es-ar\/china-muere-el-obispo-chang-que-paso-casi-un-cuarto-de-siglo-en-prision-por-lealtad-al-papa\/","title":{"rendered":"China: muere el obispo Chang que pas\u00f3 24 a\u00f1os en prisi\u00f3n por lealtad al Papa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HANYANG, jueves, 13 octubre 2005 (ZENIT.org).- A la edad de 90 a\u00f1os, el obispo \u00abclandestino\u00bb Peter Chang (Zhang) Bai Ren \u2013de Hanyang, provincia china centro-oriental de Hubei&#8211;, a quien su lealtad al Papa le cost\u00f3 24 a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n, falleci\u00f3 el mi\u00e9rcoles por una dolencia cardiaca.<br \/>\nEn un comunicado enviado a Zenit, \u00abThe Cardinal Kung Foundation\u00bb confirm\u00f3 a \u00faltima hora del 12 de octubre la noticia y brind\u00f3 el relato de pu\u00f1o del propio prelado de su persecuci\u00f3n.<br \/>\nEl obispo Chang hab\u00eda nacido el 14 de febrero de 1915; ingres\u00f3 en el seminario en 1926 y en el seminario mayor diez a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s. Formado en Teolog\u00eda en el Pontificio Colegio Urbano de Roma, fue ordenado sacerdote el 19 de diciembre de 1942. Recibi\u00f3 la consagraci\u00f3n episcopal en 1986.<br \/>\nEl prelado recordaba en sus escritos en 1997: \u00abCuando llegu\u00e9 a la di\u00f3cesis de Hanyang el 16 de enero de 1953 (&#8230;) ofrec\u00ed solemnemente mi di\u00f3cesis al Inmaculado Coraz\u00f3n (de Mar\u00eda) y le ped\u00ed dos favores: 1) que nuestra di\u00f3cesis se librara de la peste de la reforma religiosa contra el Papa de Roma; 2) que yo, el m\u00e1s d\u00e9bil de los hombres, no fuera un Judas&#8230;\u00bb.<br \/>\n\u00abCuarenta y cinco a\u00f1os de severa persecuci\u00f3n han pasado desde que ofrec\u00ed nuestra di\u00f3cesis al Inmaculado Coraz\u00f3n. Los hechos prueban que el Inmaculado Coraz\u00f3n nos ha concedido amablemente los dos favores que le pedimos\u00bb, reconoc\u00eda.<br \/>\nPor su lealtad al Papa, sufri\u00f3 24 a\u00f1os de privaci\u00f3n de libertad entre 1955 y 1979 de mano de las autoridades chinas.<br \/>\nEn sus escritos de hace ocho a\u00f1os, a\u00f1ad\u00eda: \u00abEl 13 de septiembre de 1955, cuando los polic\u00edas, apunt\u00e1ndome con sus armas, me amenazaron para que renunciara al Papa de Roma, les dije directamente: \u201cDisparadme, pero no renunciar\u00e9 al Papa\u201d. No me dispararon, pero pas\u00e9 24 duros a\u00f1os en prisi\u00f3n y trabaj\u00e9 como un esclavo en el campo de trabajo\u00bb.<br \/>\nEn China el gobierno permite la pr\u00e1ctica religiosa s\u00f3lo con personal reconocido y en lugares registrados ante la Oficina de Asuntos Religiosos y bajo el control de la \u00abAsociaci\u00f3n Patri\u00f3tica\u00bb. De ah\u00ed la diferencia que establecen entre una Iglesia \u00aboficial\u00bb y los fieles que tratan de salirse del citado control para ponerse en obediencia directa del Papa formando la Iglesia \u00abclandestina\u00bb.<br \/>\n\u00abThe Cardinal Kung Foundation\u00bb (www.cardinalkungfoundation.org) fue creada por el cardenal Ignatius Kung Pin-mei (fallecido en marzo de 2000 a los 98 a\u00f1os de edad), obispo de Shangai que tuvo que exiliarse a los Estados Unidos en 1987 junto a su sobrino.<br \/>\nCon sede en Stamford (Connecticut, EE.
