{"id":12031,"date":"2021-05-07T19:50:19","date_gmt":"2021-05-07T22:50:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sabado100.com.ar\/?p=12031"},"modified":"2021-05-07T19:50:19","modified_gmt":"2021-05-07T22:50:19","slug":"fallecio-el-destacado-biologo-y-escritor-humberto-maturana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sabado100.com.ar\/es-ar\/fallecio-el-destacado-biologo-y-escritor-humberto-maturana\/","title":{"rendered":"Falleci\u00f3 el destacado bi\u00f3logo y escritor Humberto Maturana"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A la edad de 92 a\u00f1os falleci\u00f3 el destacado bi\u00f3logo, fil\u00f3sofo, escritor y Premio Nacional de Ciencias 1994, Humberto Maturana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maturana trabaj\u00f3 en el Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Massachusetts entre 1958 y 1960, posteriormente, junto a su alumno y luego colaborador, Francisco Varela, defini\u00f3 el concepto de autopoiesis en su libro de 1972 \u00abDe m\u00e1quinas y seres vivos\u00bb, el que habla sobre la organizaci\u00f3n de los sistemas vivos como redes cerradas de autoproducci\u00f3n de los componentes que las constituyen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El pensador, adem\u00e1s, sent\u00f3 las bases de la \u00abbiolog\u00eda del conocer\u00bb, disciplina que se hace cargo de explicar el operar de los seres vivos en tanto sistemas cerrados y determinados en su estructura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 1950 ingres\u00f3 a la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile. Si bien no lleg\u00f3 a titularse, all\u00ed fue ayudante del curso de Biolog\u00eda dictado por el profesor Gabriel Gasic. En 1954 se traslad\u00f3 al University College de Londres para estudiar anatom\u00eda y neurofisiolog\u00eda, gracias a una beca de la Fundaci\u00f3n Rockefeller. Al a\u00f1o siguiente, en Londres y con 27 a\u00f1os de edad, tuvo con su primera esposa, Maruja, al primero de sus dos hijos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde 1965 es profesor titular del Departamento de Biolog\u00eda de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 1994 recibi\u00f3 el Premio Nacional de Ciencias de Chile por sus investigaciones en las ciencias biol\u00f3gicas, espec\u00edficamente en la percepci\u00f3n visual de vertebrados y por sus aportes en la teor\u00eda del conocimiento orientados a la educaci\u00f3n, la comunicaci\u00f3n y la ecolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En abril pasado, Maturana dio su \u00faltima entrevista p\u00fablica al diario La Tercera, donde ya adelantaba su posible partida. \u201cEs absolutamente leg\u00edtimo decir hasta aqu\u00ed vivo. Yo, Humberto Maturana, quiero escoger el momento en que voy a morir, no quiero ser una carga, no quiero generar da\u00f1o y no quiero contribuir al crecimiento de la poblaci\u00f3n, porque es da\u00f1ino para todos.
